Nissan Ariya-themed collectible vinyl!
As a huge Nissan nerd I'm always interested in any unique collectible the company releases so I was pleasantly surprised when this press release quietly dropped yesterday:
TL: DR Nissan decided to release a limited edition vinyl record titled "Driven By Electric Beats" in honor of National Vinyl Record Day (this Monday August 12) and supporting the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM). It's got two lo-fi music tracks by African-American artists, costs just $23 (fellow Nissan nerds will know why the company picked that price lol), is limited to 1000 copies, and proceeds go to help support the NMAAM.
Even cooler, if you've heard of the "lofi girl" Youtube video Nissan put out a while back you'll love this extra detail - the new album has a similar theme but with an African-American girl driving an Ariya instead of the original Asian-looking one. She appears on the cover but if you play the vinyl the graphics on it are supposed to work like a zoetrope and you'll see her nodding her head to the beat while an Ariya drives around on an outer track.
Oh, and there's supposed to be a hidden bonus track that plays the Ariya's driving sound :)
Overall, it's a really cool collectible for Nissan fans and Ariya owners. At 30 bucks shipped it's dirt cheap, plus it supports a good cause so don't miss out if you're interested! Links to buy are in the press release!
