Video: Japan GT Championship 2003 Race 6 Highlights

Twin Ring Motegi is one of two “home” races for Honda since the manufacturer owns both this track and Suzuka. Naturally Honda wants to do well here and after an NSX finally scored a victory last round at Fuji things were looking up. Toyota and Nissan had been consistently fast from the start of the year though and sure enough a Supra and Skyline GT-R locked out the front row of the grid after qualifying.

Motegi seems to favor mid-engine cars though so the NSX's at least had that advantage and so did the sleek ARTA Garaiya that took pole in GT300. Toyota had just debuted its new Celica though and was hungry for a win. The Nissan Fairlady Z was also new for the season and had been competitive from the start but the championship lead was in the hands of the Porsche 911 run by Team Taisan.

All of this made an exciting recipe for some great racing at the Motegi GT Championship Race of 2003 so I hope you enjoy the video!
