Video: Japan GT Championship 2002 Race 5 Highlights

Round 5 of the 2002 All Japan GT Championship sees the series returning to scenic Fuji Speedway. The four previous races had seen Toyota and Honda evenly split the wins with two each. Nissan's famous Skylines had yet to see any good results but this round would finally see all three GT-R teams switch to a new version car with a twin-turbo V6 replacing the legendary RB26 inline six cylinder motor. Would a new engine be enough for Nissan to get the monkey off their back?

GT300 had seen better news for Nissan fans with the Hasemi Motorsports S15 Silvia scoring a win at round 3 and leading the championship points ranking. Three other teams had won races though including the speedy RD320R from Japanese boutique sports car builder Vemac so GT300 promised to be hotly contested as usual.

Please enjoy another vintage round of awesome racing!
